Dernhelm and the Witchkingby ~AngelFromHungary

LOTR based drawing again. I started to draw it many-many weeks ago, but never had enough time to finish it, until today.

So this is Dernhelm/Éowyn in front of the dark Witchking. It still needs a few touches in my opinion, but generally I like how it came out. Feel free to critisize it!!

Made with black ink /pen, A4 sized.

Nicely done. Obviously movie-inspired, but impressive nonetheless. The contrast in tones even with such stark use of b/w is very good!

Yeah, it is very hard for me to break from the movie...I pity I haven't read the books BEFORE the movies...

That's true. But don't think you wouldn't have been false-proof even if uou had read it first. I know lots of people who have had their interpretations changed by the movies! It's all a shame to me really, as I feel the book has so much more resonance and power-- plus, the imagery that's personal to the reader is the most important thing, but now that's really lost.
